So this is what my new dog Penny busys herself with when I am working so diligently on homework...she eats my roommates dog bed up. I guess I should start feeding her. Anyway, I cleaned it all up and made it tidy so hopefully my roommate wont notice!

Lowe Gallery

Last Friday I attended an art gallery opening for the Li Gallery. It turns out the it was an opening for a bunch of galleries located in that one area. It was alot of fun and there was some really nice work being displayed. All the galleries varied in the type of work that they showed. Some of the galleries located in the area: a photography gallery, most featured paintings ...some with an asian influence, others more realistic, a few influenced from cubism and surealism, and some that were very graphic based. I recommend visiting the galleries and checking out the work. Posted below are a few pictures from the event. The last gallery we visited was the most fun b/c there were some good looking toga dancers (pics below) and really good food/beverages... ;o)

Art Galleries

Last Friday night (or maybe the friday before) I went to a fundraiser for an art gallery called eyedrum to take pictures for the Atlantan magazine. If you look to a few posts before this you will see (although I am sure have seen it already b/c you are looking at my blog religiously right) but you will see a post about the eyedrum art gallery. So yesterday I touched up all the photos so we could send them off to the magazine. Unfortunantly, I don't have any of the pics with me, but posted below are a couple from the eyedrum website. I saw Liz (our teacher) there also and I took a picture of her so maybe she will be in the Atlabtan...too bad no one else from class showed up!

Speaking of art gallery's...
There is supposed to be an art gallery opening tomorrow night Friday Nov. 3rd from 6pm-9pm. The gallery is called Li Gallery and is located somewhere behind the Mix off peachtree. I'm going to try an make it. Art and martinis...what else could I ask for!!

Do you Bling?

Coming from finewaters.com . . .

"Bling H2O is the inspiration of Kevin G. Boyd, Hollywood writer-producer. While working on various studio lots where image is of the utmost importance he noticed that you could tell a lot about a person by the bottled water they carried.
In Hollywood it seemed as if people flaunted their bottled water like it was part of their presentation. Whether the bottles had a cool shape or came from an exotic island, none truly made that defining statement. Bling H2O was fashioned to make that defining statement. The mission was to offer a product with an exquisite face to match exquisite taste. The product is strategically positioned to target the expanding super-luxury consumer market. Initially introduced to hand-selected athletes and actors, Bling H2O is now excitedly expanding it’s availability. Bling H2O has been featured at many recent celebrity events including the MTV Video Music Awards and television’s biggest event, The Emmys.
Bling H2O is pop-culture in a bottle. But it's not for everyone, just those that Bling."

Plastic Bottle: $24
750ml Recyclable frosted bottle, handcrafted w/ Swarovski crystals: $34.95
A Case of the 750ml Recyclable frosted bottle, handcrafted w/ Swarovski crystals: $419.40

My water bill is less than $24 a month...
but it is very pretty!

Maps

So I have been thinking about my map for the A2A trainline. I hoping that it won't be to difficult considering that it is pretty much a straight line, but things always end up taking more time than I expect. I'm not sure if I want it to be more of a 3d image or more of an elaborate vector drawing. I have been searching the internet for some maps that are designed well to get ideas, but I can't seem to find much...i guess I will have to go to the book store. Shila had one on her blog that I liked and posted below are a couple maps that caught my eye:

Eyedrum Art & Music

Through my internship I learned of an art fundraiser and party put on by Eyedrum and The Atlantian. As long as I can get off from my job at Houstons I am able to go with two other people I work with and shoot the event. And even though that is awesome in itself, some of my photographs may be published in the Atlantian. The fundraiser is on Friday October 20th from 7:00pm - 9:30pm (I believe) Apparently it is the place to be, so if you have the time you should check it out. They ask for $10 to $20 donation that will be put towards keeping the best alternative art space open and thriving in Atlanta. The post is below:
